Our family has just returned from an amazing vacation and it was one I the most apprehensive to take! Our whole family of five traveled to the Adirondacks Mountains in upstate New York to spend a week at the Pyramid Life Center. I was apprehensive for many reasons, the rustic cabins and faith based aspect concerned this girl that loves posh resorts and reality TV. My boys had all been last year and raved so I put a smile on and ventured along. The moment we arrived the whole family dynamic changed and I knew this would be magical. At Pyramid Lake our children had an adventure of exploration in growing up. We dined together for each meal but then were off to create our memories together, seperate, and even with new friends. One of the favorite activities was cliff jumping. Just amazing to see unbridled excitement! We also enjoyed kayaking trips to an island, fishing, capture the flag, parents reading, quiet time in thought and time to catch up with family. All wrapped up at the end of the day by all bunking up in one room! |
